Entry Requirements

ACS (International) enrols both local and international students. All students must participate in a short oral interview with a senior member of staff and undertake written entrance tests in English and Mathematics. Applicants for Years 3, 4 and 5 also sit a Science paper.

  • Progression to the next year level is based on consistent attendance at school and satisfactory results in the internal school examinations.
  • Age Requirements – Admission is in accordance with the stipulated age limit of the Ministry of Education. For each level, the age limit of up to 1 year over the normal age is adhered to.

  • Minimum criteria:
  • Aggregate of 200 or more
  • Eligible for the Express stream

Direct School Admission (DSA)

  • Entrance test required (English and Mathematics)
  • Short oral interview (with a senior member of staff)
  • The entrance test is usually administered earlier in the year, before the release of the PSLE results in the Primary 6 year

Direct School Admission (DSA)

  • Based on Preliminary Exam results
  • Students’ IGCSE results will determine which Higher Level. (HL) subjects they may take for the IB Diploma Programme the following year

  • Singapore GCE ‘O’ Levels: Aggregate of 20 or less
  • International GCSE: Minimum of 2 ‘A’, 2 ‘B’, and 3 ‘C’ grades.
  • Short oral interview (with a senior member of staff)

  • The entrance test is usually administered in the student’s Secondary 4 year. 

 

One Year Programmes

Students for whom English is a Second Language may apply to join the Bridging programme in either Year 1, 2 or 4 in preparation for joining the mainstream classes the following year. A general programme is offered mirroring the mainstream programme which enables students to easily join the mainstream the following year.

Students with first language level English applying for Year 4 are generally not eligible for the two year IGCSE programme but may apply to the one year Foundation IB course.
