Our students follow a general academic programme in Years 1 and 2 before selecting their subject combinations for the two-year International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) for Year 3 and the two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for Year 5. Some students sit for the Cambridge ‘O’ Level in their mother tongue languages.

We also offer Second Language Bridging classes at Years 1, 2 and 4 to students taking English as an Additional Language (EAL). Bridging students usually join mainstream classes the following year. For example, a student in Year 2 Pre IGCSE Bridging will usually move to Year 3 IGCSE Mainstream the following year. Similarly, a student in Year 4 Pre IB will move to Year 5 IBDP Mainstream the following year.

Year 4 Foundation IB programme is a one-year programme for competent English language learners and prepares students who did not complete the two-year IGCSE course leading up to the IBDP.

International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)

Years 1 and 2 students follow a general course which is intended to provide them with the skills and appropriate subject content foundation to progress into IGCSE in Year 3. All subjects are compulsory with the exception of Foreign Language / Mother Tongue Language (MTL) which are studied according to the student’s background and/or linguistic experience. Singaporean and Singaporean PR students must follow the MOE MTL approach. All other students are required to study a foreign language, including local students who are exempted from MTL.

Years 3 and 4 students sit for the IGCSE examinations. The curriculum that we offer consists of core subjects, including compulsory subjects.
